As a micro business specialist I spend much of my time working with clients to ensure their wellbeing and the wellbeing of their micro business is as good as it can be, one most certainly impacts the other.
Third generation self-employed, I have been running micro businesses in different sectors, including hospitality, property management and development and retail, for over 30 years and am a leading voice for micro business in the UK. I know a thing or two about how the smallest of businesses tick and share my knowledge and expertise not only with clients but also with press and media when called upon.
Helping micro businesses to guide them with development & growth is the key focus of my day to day life.
Working one to one with the business owner or acting as an associate member of their team as The Tiny Troubleshooter or stepping in as The B & B Keeper while hospitality owners take a break makes up most of my day to day work .
Always keen to make a difference through positive action, I co-founded #MicroBizMatters Day and the #MicroBizMatters Movement with Tony Robinson OBE. Tony and I, on a constant mission to make life in micro business better, host the only annual day anywhere of recognition, action and learning for those that employ 0 to 9 and turnover less than 2 million annually held on the second Friday in January every year.
A constant connector, I thrive on bringing people and organisations together to make a difference, community engagement is another area of my expertise. Add to that a problem solver, a speaker, a writer, including Agony Aunt for the Luxury BnB Magazine and a giver of time in my voluntary role as Chair of the Andrew McGeown Legacy Fund, and this is me Tina B 🐝
